Student Council

The mission of the Student Council is to teach kids about government and democracy, while working on projects during the school year.  These projects include organizing spirit week, some after school events, service learning projects, acting as a school ambassador and organizing and attending school socials.

Lower Elementary 3rd grade, Upper Elementary and Middle School students are eligible to run for class representative. Each classroom (and middle school homeroom) will vote and elect one class representative. Once the student council is seated, members may run for the executive board positions of President/Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Every FHM student will have the opportunity to vote for the executive offices.

Students who would like to run for class representative must return a signed permission slip to the lead teacher by Thursday, September 26th. Classroom representative elections will take place in the classroom on Friday, September 27th. The elections process for representatives is handled by each lead classroom teacher. All Student Council appointees will be announced at 3:10pm on Friday, September 27th.

Students who have questions or need guidance should contact one of the staff members of the Student Council Committee:  Mr. Derek (Middle School Science), Ms. Paige (UE Rabbit Ears), Ms. Margaret (LE Frisco), Ms. Crystal (School Counselor), Ms. Bree (P.E.), Ms. Megan W (Director of Operations), Ms. Susan V (Intervention, Communications).
