On behalf of the entire faculty and our Board of Directors, we are excited that you have made the decision to be at Free Horizon Montessori (FHM) for the 2019-2020 School Year. Whether you are new or have been part of the FHM community for years, we recognize you made a choice to be here and we are honored that you did!

Below you will find a list of print and return paperwork and online tasks to-do by August 9th.

Please drop off all registration paperwork in the BLACK MAILBOX in front of the school between August 5th and August 9th in a sealed envelope with the student’s first and last name on the front. You can include all students in a family in one envelope.

  • Jeffco Connect (mandatory)

    • Pay Student Fees (fee schedule)

    • Ensure all contact information is up to date. To ensure you are receiving school emails and correspondence like the Wednesday Fox Flash, click CONTACTS on the left side, then click edit next to your name. On the following page, scroll down to Notification Preferences and verify that everything has a check mark.

    • e-Sign Agreements
      When you log into Jeffco Connect, click on your student's name. The navigation on the left side will show red and green items. Click on the red items and complete agreements. Ensure all contact information is up to date. Then submit everything on the Summary page.

    • Free & Reduced application (must complete every year)

    • Add money to your account

School Supplies: 
 Are available through the CSN Sign-Up Genius. Sign up for as much or as little that works for your family. If a brand name is listed, please purchase the brand. Drop off all supplies at the gym on Thursday, August 8th between 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. 



 

2018-2019 Yearbooks:

Did you order a 2018-2019 yearbook and not receive it over the summer?
We will have a table at Back to School Night on August 13th where you can pick up a yearbook if it wasn't received.

  • Thursday, August 8th: School Supply Drop Off at Gymnasium doors between 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

  • Monday, August 12th: Session 1 Clubs & Enrichment enrollment opens 

  • Tuesday, August 13th: Back to School Night, 5:00 - 7:30 pm
    BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT is Tuesday, August 13th 5:00 - 7:30 p.m.
    This night is a modified open house. Choose start time below and start in the gym with Principal Ms. Kresta, Assistant Principal Ms. Donnetta, Instructional Coach Ms. Siobhan and Student Success Coach Mr. Jesse for 20 minutes. Then meet teachers and visit your child's classroom for a 20 minute session. Families will stay together and visit classrooms. Plan on spending about 45 minutes at school for one student, and add about 25 minutes to that time for each additional student.

    Class assignments were sent on 8-10-19. Please check your email. 

  • Wednesday, August 14th: Phase in day

    • All students attending Kinder, 1st, 4th, 6th, and 2nd-8th graders new to the school
      Preschool and Pre-K students do not attend, even if new. 

    • Arrival - normal arrival w/car line
      Middle schoolers will enter through the front doors. 
      Teachers meet elementary and primary students on the field and black top. 

    • Dismissal - 2pm for all students

    • Students will attend specials/electives

    • No before or after care offered on this day

    • Breakfast and lunch will be offered. 

  • Thursday, August 15th: First Day of School

  • Tuesday, August 20th: Deadline to enroll for Session 1 Clubs & Enrichment

School Hours: 

All classes dismiss at 2:00 p.m. every Wednesday except half day Primary who dismisses at 11:30 a.m.

If you have students that start their day at different times, please drop off all students at the earliest start time. If you have students that end their day at different times, please pick up all students at the latest dismissal time. 

  • Middle School: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 
    Doors open from 7:50 - 7:55 a.m.
    Enter through front doors. 

  • Elementary School: 8:15 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.
    Doors are open from 8:00 - 8:10 a.m.
    Enter through elementary playground doors.

  • Primary: 8:30 a.m. - 3:05 p.m. 
    Meet on the elementary playground between 8:15 - 8:25 a.m

  • Primary Half Day: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m
    Meet on the elementary playground between 8:15 - 8:25 a.m

  • Before Care 7:00 – 8:00 a.m.
  • After Care 3:15 - 6:00 p.m.
